Petitioned Special Town Meeting - February 24, 2016

7:00 p.m. - High School Auditorium:
Citizens' Petition seeking a vote to move Tavernside Playground to the Case Estates instead of Lamson Park.

The Board of Selectmen received a Citizens' Petition on January 27, 2016 requesting the Selectmen to call a Special Town Meeting. The Town is required to hold the Special Town Meeting within 45 days of receipt of the petition.

The meeting warrant is available online and mailed to every household the week of February 8th. The explanation of the article is provided in the warrant.

Furthermore, the Board of Selectmen discussed the petitioned article at its meeting on February 4th, the video of which is available online. Discussion begins around the 6:30 minute mark and ends around the 35:30 mark. The Board will not be meeting again until February 23rd.

Town Meeting Childcare
Childcare is no longer offered on site during Town Meeting, as it has been in the past. A pool of  students in the Weston High School National Honor Society will be available to provide in-home babysitting from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Please indicated the number of children and their ages along with your contact information.  A donation of $10 is requested and there is a limited number of sitters available.
