Disabled Commuter Community Representative

Communities in the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority region appoint 1 representative from the disabled commuter population to serve on the Advisory Board as a voting member for a term of 1 year.

The Town of Weston is looking for a representative who is mobility impaired or has a family member who is mobility impaired, is a caretaker of a person who is mobility impaired, or who works for an organization that serves the needs of the physically disabled. The individual should have an interest and working knowledge of the transportation needs of the disabled community.

There is no age limitation for the position and this person will be representing the interests and needs of the disabled community for the entire MetroWest area, not just Weston. The representative of Weston may be reappointed after representatives from the other cities and towns within the region have served their 1 year terms. The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority was formed in 2006 to improve the public transportation options for those who live and work in the I-495/MetroWest region of Boston.
