The Weston DPW Water Division will be flushing fire hydrants throughout town beginning Monday, April 3rd and continuing through June in order to remove sediment buildup in the mains.
The flushing may result in temporary discoloration of the water, caused by small particles dislodged during the flushing. Discoloration might stain your laundry, especially white materials. To help avoid staining your laundry, we recommend you check the water for possible discoloration during periods of flushing. If the water is discolored, let the cold water run for a minute or two, or until the water clears.
Hydrant flushing will be performed on weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. starting from the south side of Town, working towards the north. A map of the town's hydrants and a schedule for flushing is available on the DPW's web page.
