On September 26th at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall, the Planning Board will be hosting a public hearing to solicit resident input on the Boston Properties housing and commercial development proposal for 133 Boston Post Road.
This past spring, the Board of Selectmen asked the Planning Board to negotiate with Boston Properties to find a middle ground solution to its 345-unit housing development and 250,000 square foot office building proposal. Members of the Planning Board spent the summer months meeting with Boston Properties and also attended neighborhood meetings in the abutting areas to hear concerns.
Providing 10% of Weston’s housing options as affordable is a town-wide issue, which is why the Planning Board wants to gather additional comments from residents before the Boston Properties Development Agreement comes before Special Town Meeting this fall. All interested residents are encouraged to attend.
