o Plates
o Beams
o Axles
o Connectors
o Wheels
o Gears
o Specialty parts

• The basic unit of Lego measurement is the stud-unit
• Brief history of Lego


• The various types of pins each have specific uses.
  • Assign Groups; sit by groups
  • Hand out Guidesheets, Labels, Sharpies, French Fry Boxes

Activity:

Sort Parts

Label Empty Tubs(both ends) with Group Names using Labels and Sharpies

Clean-up @ 7 min before end of period

Challenge 1: Build a simple un-powered vehicle that will roll as far as possible down a ramp.
