Consent Agenda

The Board of Selectmen recommended articles 5, 6, 14, 15 & 16 be placed in a consent agenda in an effort to streamline the evening’s proceedings.  Article 5 was requested, and approved, to be held out of the Consent Agenda so that it could be discussed separately. Article 14 was also requested to be held out, but failed to receive the required 10 votes in support.  Articles 6, 14, 15 & 16 were voted and approved in a single motion and vote.

Special informational meetings were held as an opportunity for residents to learn more about the issues before voting at Town Meeting:

Burt Field land transfer - from municipal to conservation - November 1st Conservation Commission meeting
Town Center Improvement Project - learn about the baseline concepts for the Town Center - November 10th
Zoning By-law amendment - minimum rental period - November 16th Planning Board meeting and November 29th joint meeting prior to Town Meeting with Planning Board and Board of Selectmen
