As a part of the initial Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness planning, a core team meeting and workshops were held with 35 Town Departments and key stakeholders within and around the community. The team discussed current issues in Weston that can have disastrous results in the face of climate change.
This planning process culminated in a public listening session where community members and residents were invited to share their concerns about the local effects of climate change and talk about how we can work together to be more prepared.
This work and collection of information will help guide and shape the updated Hazard Mitigation Plan and the Climate Action Plan. Three goals were identified and the action and implementation outline to achieve those goals are outlined on the following web pages.
