Landowners must obtain permission from the Conservation Commission before any tree, brush, or vegetation removal or cutting, lawn expansion or soil grading is conducted in wetland resource area or buffer zone. The process to request tree removal is detailed here.
The Conservation Commission is responsible for reviewing and permitting all work (construction, cutting, grading, or new landscaping) in or near wetlands, ponds, and rivers in the Town of Weston under Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (310 CMR 10.00) and its implementing Regulations.
