Preparation
Weston’s federally mandated Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and our Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has been working very hard to prepare Weston for all emergencies.
Long before the events of the tsunami in Japan and Hurricane Katrina, Weston recognized the potential devastation an extraordinary emergency could wreak on our town.
Plan Partnership
In 2002, the LEPC created a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, which builds on the partnership between:
- Emergency responders
- Support staff
- Weston business community
- Weston residents
Emergencies
During an emergency, first responders and support personnel are charged with the safety of everyone in Weston.
The LEPC asks that you join in this partnership by creating your own personal emergency plan.
By taking the time to do such a simple thing, someday, your plan might not only be responsible for saving your life but the life of a first responder.
Don’t put it off. Do it today!
In addition to creating the Town’s plans and encouraging our residents to create their own plans, Weston LEPC has joined Acton, Concord, Lincoln, Sudbury and Wayland in a regional emergency planning effort to pool resources and exchange ideas.
