The Silver Hill Area was documented by the Weston Historical Commission in 1998 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004 as the Silver Hill Historic District, with slightly different boundaries.
Two properties included in the Historic Area were omitted from the National Register District (186 Merriam Street and 1 Cherry Brook Road) and one was added to the National Register District (251 Merriam Street).
