Tara Murphy, African dance and drum teacher and performer, will lead a creative, Africaninspired drum circle. Tara began studying her heritage through African studies at Yale University and was awarded a Yale fellowship to study traditional dance and drumming at the University of Legon in Ghana, West Africa. Since returning to the US, she has studied with many African and Afro-Caribbean artists for over 25 years. Feel the beat and experience the power of drumming to release stress, lift spirits, and connect with others. Through drumming, we will get in touch with our innate rhythms and get energy flowing throughout the body. Drums provided and no experience necessary. Call the COA at 781-786-6280 to register.
