The Selectmen have issued a challenge for the community to decrease its overall solid waste tonnage by increasing recycling efforts. The Solid Waste and Recycling Division Supervisor has made it even easier for residents to keep more "stuff" out of the solid waste stream. For information on what households can do to recycle even more, visit weston.org/RSW. A quick reference guide of all the recyclable materials that are accepted at the Transfer Station is available online.
The Merriam Street Composting Facility (aka the Brush Dump) will be opening on October 20th for six consecutive Saturdays. Yard waste is accepted at the Transfer Station during normal business hours. A transfer station permit or recycling only permit is needed to access the brush dump.
