Early Voting in Weston

Early Voting for the November State Election will begin on October 22nd and continue through November 2, 2018. Weston residents may vote early in person at the Town Clerk’s Office in Town Hall, 11 Town House Road. The Weston Town Clerk is offering additional in-person hours on two weeknights to further accommodate residents.


Voter Registration - Deadline is Oct. 17th

Regardless of how a voter wants to vote, the first step is verifying voter registration. To check to see if you are registered to vote in Weston, visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website at www.sec.state.ma.us/ele. If you need to register to vote, you may do so online by visiting www.RegisterToVoteMA.com. To register online you will need a valid Massachusetts driver’s license or an ID issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles. To be eligible to vote in the November 6th State Election, or make any necessary changes to your voter registration, you must register no later than October 17, 2018.


In-person Early Voting Schedule

Monday through Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Weston Town Hall

Extended In-person Early Voting Hours

Tuesday, October 23rd 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 30th 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. both in Town Hall.


Early Voting via Postal Mail

Registered voters also have the option to request an early voting ballot through the mail. The application can be found on the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website at www.sec.state.ma.us/ele. Please note that early voting ballots cannot be mailed to voters until October 22nd. Once received, simply fill out an application and mail it to the Town Clerk, 11 Town House Road, Weston, MA 02493. 


Absentee Voting

Absentee voting will still be available for registered voters who legally qualify: 

  • those who will be absent from their city or town on Election Day; 
  • those who have a disability that prevents them from going to the polls; or 
  • those who have a religious belief preventing the same. 

Unlike absentee voting, early voting is for every registered voter.
