Weston's Facilities Department has applied tick tubes approximately 10 feet outside the fields and play areas in the natural un-mown spaces around Country School, Alphabet Field, and Weston High School/Middle School fields. The tubes contain cotton balls treated with a product called Permethrin. This is an EPA labeled pesticide to treat for ticks. It is not recommended to touch the tubes or cotton balls if you encounter them.
