The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has announced through its FluSight: Flu Forecast that flu activity this season will remain elevated through January. As of December 30th, the forecast indicates that activity will likely peak between December and February, with about a 40% chance of already having peaked in late December, a 30% chance of a peak in January, and a 25% chance of a peak in February.
If you have not received your flu vaccination this year, it is highly recommended that you do. The vaccination is the best protection against this potentially dangerous illness. Please contact the Weston Board of Health at 781-786-5030 for additional information on the vaccine. Also see healthy habits to help prevent the spread.
