To celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History at Regis College will feature a special exhibit of stamps about Dr. King and other great African-Americans. Children can do various stamp activities including making their own collection of US stamps from the Black Heritage US stamp series, stamp scavenger hunts for prizes, stamp puzzles, searching in the Museum’s two-cent stamp boxes, design your own Dr. King stamps to display in the Museum’s main gallery, making children's photos into a stamp, and several more arts and crafts activities involving stamps. In addition, each family will receive a packet of stamps, a Dr. King US commemorative stamp, a Black Heritage First Day Cover. A booklet about how to start a stamp collection will also be available. The Museum gift shop and official US Post Office will be open. The Exhibit for Black History Month will run until the end of February.
