    The Weston Police Department is hosting the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center Blood Drive. All blood collected will benefit patients at the Dana-Farber Cancer Center Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
    Appointments are recommended and can be made online. Walk-ins are taken as time allows. As a thank you, donors will receive a Kraft Family Blood Donor Center sweatshirt. Be sure to drink extra water and eat before donating. Eligibility questions can be emailed.

    This “slow flow” class is appropriate for anyone who can comfortably get up and down of a yoga mat. No previous yoga experience is required and everyone is encouraged to move at his or her own pace. Yoga poses can increase strength, improve mobility and enhance balance. Through poses or “asana,” yoga offers the opportunity to connect to the breath and cultivate inner focus and calm. Mats and props are available.

    Gregory Maichack, award-winning artist, will present his all-new “Sail Away on the Craft of Pastel Painting,” workshop: using sailboat references and Maichack’s pastel version of Monet’s Impressionist painting, “Sailboat at Le Petit-Gennevilliers.” Participants experiment with hundreds of the artist’s professional grade pastels, pastel pencils, and paper, and take home a 12 X 18 painting in their own style, realistic or Impressionistic. This free program is open to all adults age 18 and over. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
