The Weston Council on Aging is pleased to once again host the Student Art Show. The works represent the best work of the first-semester visual arts classes. The exhibit is always exciting and impressive.

Get your tickets now before they sell out to the DKI Acting Academy / Weston Recreation Department's production of Disney's Peter Pan, Jr. Formerly known as Weston Junior Broadway, this show stars 23 5th-grade students from Field School. Tickets are available through the Recreation Office during regular business hours: Mon. - Fri., 8:30 - 4:30 p.m.

A representative from the IRS will join us to answer any questions you may have about how the new tax law (or any other tax law) affects older adults and the changes in the tax law that will most impact the senior community. This is an open forum and all are welcome to attend.

Work on fitness exercises utilizing a stability ball and chair. Cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and balance are touched upon in each class. We incorporate hand weights, exercise bands and movement to train each muscle group. This class is geared towards all levels; each participant can focus the intensity of their workout to their own fitness level. Join us for a fun, active and social fitness class.

Using resistance bands and exercises set to upbeat music, you’ll work on muscle toning, core strengthening and lower back support. Ankle strengthening will improve balance and stretching helps your posture. Learn how you can prevent falls; in the event of one you’ll learn techniques for managing trips and landings.
