  1. Cradles to Crayons Children's Clothing/Baby Gear Drive

    March 28, 2019, All Day @ Memorial Pool Parking Lot

    Let’s all Spring clean for a good cause! Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that helps to provide low-income and homeless children in the local Boston area with essential items they need to thrive - free of charge. We can accept the following new or gently used items in good condition:
    Children’s clothing (no rips or stains please)
    Children's shoes and winter boots
    Toys and board books
    New children’s underwear, socks and pajamas
    Baby gear (strollers, car seats, pack-n-plays, swings, bouncy seats – must be less than 5 years old)

  3. Regis College Panel & Film Screening: Rohingya, Atrocities Against Women

    Regis College welcomes guest speaker and Weston-resident Nazda Alam who will show her compelling, short documentary about the Rohingya atrocities. Regis College Fulbright scholar, Dr. Maswood Akhter, will be the moderator for a panel discussion following the film. The panel will talk about the history, current events, and future of this tragedy. Regis student panel members will discuss their research on human rights.

    This “slow flow” class is appropriate for anyone who can comfortably get up and down of a yoga mat. No previous yoga experience is required and everyone is encouraged to move at his or her own pace. Yoga poses can increase strength, improve mobility and enhance balance. Through poses or “asana,” yoga offers the opportunity to connect to the breath and cultivate inner focus and calm. Mats and props are available.

  2. Zumba with Marilou

    A high energy class where you will learn dance moves to Latin and world music songs, while the instructor leads and breaks the moves down into smaller steps. Ability to step forward, backward and to each side is useful in this class, but all levels are welcome. If you like to dance, you’ll love this class! Participants will improve their capacity in cardio, endurance and coordination by learning and repeating dance moves to the beat of the rhythm.

    Thi is a low-impact workout that's gentle on your joints and good for your mind, body and soul. Each dance uses foot patterns only and beginner steps are learned in minutes. Shoes with flat, smooth bottoms are best.

  1. Underwater Coral Reef Canvas Painting

    Paint a coral reef and sealife on a canvas using dramatic silhouettes! Looking up from the bottom of the sea we will create a painting using silhouettes of coral reef and sealife in black paint. Using different tones of blue mixed with white your eye will be drawn to the starburst of sunlight above.
