  1. Women's Community League Clothing Exchange: Spring Bag Sale

    After 76 years of serving the Weston community, this will be our last season in the JST Barn. We need your support to make this the best season ever as we reach our goal of raising $10,000. Donations are the backbone of our business and support the Service and Scholarship Fund for graduating WHS seniors. Help us go out with a bang by donating in-season, gently used clothing and household items or make a donation directly to the WCL Service and Scholarship Fund.

    The Women’s Community League was established in 1919 and was organized to continue the cooperative service when women rolled bandages & knitted sweaters, mittens, & scarves for the War effort. The Children’s Exchange began officially in Nov. 1942 under the “Committee of Public Safety.” To meet residents' needs, they planned a “second-hands goods” sale. Identifying a continued need, the Children’s Exchange opened in the Unitarian Church on Jan. 3,1943. Then it moved to the Town Hall in the fall of 1943.

    This class is for people with some experience with Tai Chi. Tai Chi is a slow form Martial Art that is beneficial to your health: improve balance, joint flexibility, muscle tone, breathing and blood pressure while easing tension and stress. Jon teaches a variation of the Yang style – typically called “Cheng Man-Ch’ing” style.
