August 26, 2019, All Day @ Land's Sake Farm
See the beauty of the farm through an artist’s eyes, sample the world of outdoor painting, and learn how to paint with pastels to create your own artwork! "Chasing the light," as some call it, goes back centuries and owes its popularity to the French impressionists. Experience its joys (and challenges) for yourself with local landscape artist, Larry Grob. Both single or multiple sessions are available and are designed to fit your schedule. The workshop includes an artist demo, personal coaching, overview of pastel materials and plein air basics—from composition to color, and supplies & equipment. Starter supplies are provided. If you have your own pastels and field easel, do bring them, but it’s not required. Beginners are welcome, as are seasoned artists. Great for all ages, come find your inner artist with pastels. This event is outdoors, so please dress accordingly. We will ‘wander’ the farm, so dress for and guard against poison ivy and bugs.

This class focuses on exercises and movements that tone muscles and improve the ability to perform everyday activities. The main emphasis is on core strengthening to improve balance, posture, coordination, stability, range of motion and flexibility. There is a combination of chair and standing exercises helps focus on different muscle groups, minimizing the possibility of repetitive movement injuries. Functional Fitness is open to all levels of fitness and includes use of dyna bands, light hand/leg weights & pilates rings, all of which are supplied.

This “slow flow” class is for anyone who can get up and down of a yoga mat. No previous experience is required and everyone moves at his or her own pace. Yoga poses increase strength, improve mobility and enhance balance. Mats and props provided.
