School Supply Drive for the Joseph Lee School
Please join the Weston Community Children’s Association (WCCA) in a school supply drive from September 16th through September 27th to support the students of the Joseph Lee School in Dorchester, MA. The Joseph Lee School is a K-8 Boston Public School in need of some of the most essential school supplies. Let’s help these students get a great start to the new school year!!
Most needed supplies include: pencils, pocket folders, erasers, markers, dry erase markers, single subject notebooks, colored pencils, crayons, and glue sticks.
Donations may be dropped off in the collection bin in the lobby of the Weston Recreation Center (20 Alphabet Lane).

Girls Who Code, a national nonprofit working to close the gender gap in tech, seeks to reverse the decline by teaching 100,000 girls to code by the end of 2018. The Girls Who Code Club is a free after-school program for 6-12th grade girls to use computer science to impact their community. The Club will be hosted at the Weston Public Library with a group of 20 students and will be taught every Tuesday starting September 24th by industry professionals in computer science. To learn more about the Girls Who Code and the Weston Club please attend our Information Session.

This class is for people with some experience with Tai Chi. Tai Chi is a slow form Martial Art that is beneficial to your health: improve balance, joint flexibility, muscle tone, breathing and blood pressure while easing tension and stress. Jon teaches a variation of the Yang style – typically called “Cheng Man-Ch’ing” style.
