    The Board of Selectmen, having received written notice from the Library Trustees that a vacancy exists in the membership of the Board of Library Trustees as the result of the resignation of Mary Francois, hereby gives notice in conformity with provisions of General Laws, Chapter 41, Section 11, that it will hold a meeting with the remaining members of the Board of Library Trustees on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Town Hall, Weston, at 7:10 p.m. for the purpose of filling this vacancy by roll call vote. A majority of the eight members of the two Boards must be present in order to elect a candidate to serve until the next annual election of town officers.

  1. WCCA School Supply Drive

    September 16, 2019 - September 27, 2019

    School Supply Drive for the Joseph Lee School Please join the Weston Community Children’s Association (WCCA) in a school supply drive from September 16th through September 27th to support the students of the Joseph Lee School in Dorchester, MA. The Joseph Lee School is a K-8 Boston Public School in need of some of the most essential school supplies. Let’s help these students get a great start to the new school year!! Most needed supplies include: pencils, pocket folders, erasers, markers, dry erase markers, single subject notebooks, colored pencils, crayons, and glue sticks. Donations may be dropped off in the collection bin in the lobby of the Weston Recreation Center (20 Alphabet Lane).

  2. Girls Who Code

    Girls Who Code, a national nonprofit working to close the gender gap in tech, seeks to reverse the decline by teaching 100,000 girls to code by the end of 2018. The Girls Who Code Club is a free after-school program for 6-12th grade girls to use computer science to impact their community. The Club will be hosted at the Weston Public Library with a group of 20 students and will be taught every Tuesday starting September 24th by industry professionals in computer science.

    This class is for people with some experience with Tai Chi. Tai Chi is a slow form Martial Art that is beneficial to your health: improve balance, joint flexibility, muscle tone, breathing and blood pressure while easing tension and stress. Jon teaches a variation of the Yang style – typically called “Cheng Man-Ch’ing” style.
