Interested in improving your posture and balance, moving with ease and relieving
stiffness, pain and tension? Poor posture, stress and neck/back/shoulder pains are often caused by unrecognized habits of tension. By teaching how to recognize and unlearn these common habits, the Alexander Technique provides the means to restore your innate good posture, balance and poise. For over 120 years individuals of all ages have used this method to improve balance and posture, reduce tension and stress and experience lasting relief from chronic pain.
This 2-session workshop is led by Jill Geiger, certified Alexander Technique teacher for 30 years. It will introduce you to the Alexander Technique: its history, principles and application to everyday activities and you'll leave with practical tips to use in your daily life.

Work on fitness exercises utilizing a stability ball and chair. Cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and balance are touched upon in each class. We incorporate hand weights, exercise bands and movement to train each muscle group. This class is geared towards all levels; each participant can focus the intensity of their workout to their own fitness level. Join us for a fun, active and social fitness class.

Using resistance bands and exercises set to upbeat music, you’ll focus on areas like muscle toning, core strengthening and lower back support. Ankle strengthening will improve balance and stretching helps your posture. Learn how you can prevent falls; in the event of one you’ll learn techniques for managing trips and landings.
