  2. Art Education: Impressionism

    October 7, 2020, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Zoom

We’re bringing the museum to you with an engaging presentation by ArtMatters, an art awareness and education organization. The Impressionists were painters of light, painters of nature, and painters of human nature. Having little in common, except a common enemy, the Academy, artists like Monet, Renoir and Degas defied convention and changed the way the whole world looked at art. Like a stone dropped into a still pond, the ripples from this revolutionary style of painting spread out, influencing a whole new generation of artists. Join us for a close look at many of the paintings that moved the world into the modern era. This program is also accessible by phone. Please let us know if you plan to join by phone audio only so that we can get the image packet to you in advance.
