This “slow flow” class is appropriate for anyone who can comfortably get up and down off a yoga mat. No previous yoga experience is required and everyone is encouraged to move at his or her own pace. Yoga poses can increase strength, improve mobility and enhance balance. Through poses or “asana,” yoga offers the opportunity to connect to the breath and cultivate inner focus and calm. Mats and props are available.

This class, for beginner to intermediate levels, is designed to improve balance, strength, cardiovascular and cognitive memory. Exercise routines are accompanied by lively music which makes for a fun, feel-good environment. Exercises will be modified to accommodate any physical limitations.

If you’re looking for a bigger physical and mental challenge, the advanced class may be the right fit for you! Previous participation in the beginner class or experience with line dancing is suggested to take this class.

Learn the beginner foot patterns and fundamental terminology to line dance! This low-impact form of dance is gentle on joints and beneficial for both body and mind (and it’s a lot of fun!)

The meeting topic this month is What Artificial Intelligence Knows About Us, and We Don’t Know About Artificial Intelligence, which follows the Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions chapter on artificial intelligence and data. The 2020 edition of the Great Decisions books are available at the COA. Stop by the front desk to purchase one at a discounted price of $20.
Meetings are open to all who are interested in a civil discussion of the issue with wide participation around the table.

Toddler Yoga is designed to show children how to engage with their body...and that it is okay to fall down and get back up! Our instruction is through poses, singing and play. The caregivers will model and help their child as needed.
