  1. Early Voting for Presidential Primary

    February 24, 2020, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Town Hall

    Registered voters wishing to vote early in-person should report to Town Hall: Mon., Wed., & Th: 8-5; Tue. 8-7; & Fri. 8-12:30 (all precincts).

    Registered voters also have the option to request an early voting ballot through the mail. The application can be found on the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website at Simply fill out an application and mail it to the Town Clerk, PO Box 378, Weston, MA 02493.

  2. Art Exhibit at First Parish: Gloria Ross

    A new art exhibit in the Mary Jo Rines Gallery features a peek into the studio of Weston resident Gloria Ross by introducing visitors to many of the different techniques and media she uses in her works. Ms. Ross' work has been exhibited at the Weston Public Library, the Concord Art Association, Gallery Twist in Lexington, the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, the Fort Point Gallery in Boston, and the Six Bridges Gallery in Maynard.

    This class provides cardio, stretching & strengthening in a non-threatening environment. Participants work on cardiopulmonary fitness, balance, improve joint range of motion and learn proper form for strength training of both upper and lower body.   2. Art Appreciation: An Introduction to Modern Art

    Artist and educator Daveda Movitz returns for a another popular series. During this 5-week course we’ll look at images of 19th century Realism through 20th century abstract Expressionism. Further your understanding of aesthetic pleasure—together, we’ll analyze the development of such modern“isms” as Impressionism, post-Impressionism, Fauvism, Expressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, and finally Abstract Expressionism, moving from Europe to the United States.   4. Functional Fitness

    This class focuses on exercises and movements that tone muscles and improve the ability to perform everyday activities. The main emphasis is on core strengthening to improve balance, posture, coordination, stability, range of motion and flexibility. There is a combination of chair and standing exercises helps focus on different muscle groups, minimizing the possibility of repetitive movement injuries. Functional Fitness is open to all levels of fitness and includes use of dyna bands, light hand/leg weights & pilates rings, all of which are supplied.

    This “slow flow” class is for anyone who can get up and down off a yoga mat. No previous experience is required and everyone moves at his or her own pace. Yoga poses increase strength, improve mobility and enhance balance. Mats and props provided.
