  1. Art Exhibit at First Parish: Gloria Ross

    A new art exhibit in the Mary Jo Rines Gallery features a peek into the studio of Weston resident Gloria Ross by introducing visitors to many of the different techniques and media she uses in her works. Ms. Ross' work has been exhibited at the Weston Public Library, the Concord Art Association, Gallery Twist in Lexington, the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, the Fort Point Gallery in Boston, and the Six Bridges Gallery in Maynard.

  1. BSO Rehearsal & Pre-Performance Talk

    Experience a BSO concert in the making. BSO Open Rehearsals offer audience members a unique perspective on the creative dynamic between orchestra and conductor. Learn how the orchestra refines its performance by repeating passages or focusing on a particular movement. Prior to the rehearsal there will be a 30-minute talk about the program. Program highlights: Thorvaldsdottir, Prokofiev, and Sibelius conducted by Hannu Lintu with featured pianist Seong-Jin Cho. Limit 10. Cost: $30, payable at signup. Cancellation deadline: March 3.

    This “slow flow” class is appropriate for anyone who can comfortably get up and down off a yoga mat. No previous yoga experience is required and everyone is encouraged to move at his or her own pace. Yoga poses can increase strength, improve mobility and enhance balance. Through poses or “asana,” yoga offers the opportunity to connect to the breath and cultivate inner focus and calm. Mats and props are available.
