A new art exhibit in the Mary Jo Rines Gallery features a peek into the studio of Weston resident Gloria Ross by introducing visitors to many of the different techniques and media she uses in her works. Ms. Ross' work has been exhibited at the Weston Public Library, the Concord Art Association, Gallery Twist in Lexington, the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, the Fort Point Gallery in Boston, and the Six Bridges Gallery in Maynard.

Members of Weston’s Planning Board invite the community to learn more about light pollution and its negative effects on wildlife. During this one-hour seminar, participants will:
- learn how to identify lighting in building design that creates the pollution, and the harmful impacts it has on wildlife
- review form and materials that can help reduce pollution and the harmful impacts
- gain an understanding on advances in lighting, form, and materials, as well as an integrated lighting design, can have a positive impact on wildlife

This class provides cardio, stretching & strengthening in a non-threatening environment. Participants work on cardiopulmonary fitness, balance, improve joint range of motion and learn proper form for strength training of both upper and lower body. Exercises are done standing, but chairs are available if one needs to sit down during the class. It is appropriate for all levels of fitness..

A high energy class with dance moves to Latin and world music songs, while the instructor leads and breaks the moves down into smaller steps. Ability to step forward, backward and to each side is useful in this class, but all levels are welcome.

This class focuses on exercises and movements that tone muscles and improve the ability to perform everyday activities. The main emphasis is on core strengthening to improve balance, posture, coordination, stability, range of motion and flexibility. There is a combination of chair and standing exercises helps focus on different muscle groups, minimizing the possibility of repetitive movement injuries. Functional Fitness is open to all levels of fitness and includes use of dyna bands, light hand/leg weights & pilates rings, all of which are supplied.

This “slow flow” class is for anyone who can get up and down off a yoga mat. No previous experience is required and everyone moves at his or her own pace. Yoga poses increase strength, improve mobility and enhance balance. Mats and props provided.
